Scripture – Exodus 20:3

Precept-You shall have no other gods before me.
Principle- God deserves and demands exclusive allegiance and dependence.
Person- There is but one God who is our Creator, Sustainer, Rescuer and King.

  1. The first commandment is the necessary foundation for all just laws.
  2. The first commandment requires exclusive allegiance to God.
  3. The first commandment requires exclusive dependence upon God.
