Eric Elves – Pastor/Elder
My Story
I grew up in Hazelwood, MO, with parents who loved me and faithfully taught me the Scriptures. Around the age of nine, I was convicted of my sinfulness and need for forgiveness through one of my pastor’s sermons. I confessed, believed, and was baptized, and the Lord has continued to graciously teach, guide, and preserve me ever since.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Missouri Baptist University and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduating seminary, I worked in manufacturing for a number of years, where the Lord taught me how to oversee organizations and manage people. During that time, I was called by my church to serve as an Administrative Pastor. After serving in that capacity for a number of years, I transitioned to working in the tech sector as a web developer and business analyst. Now I love using the diverse skills and experiences the Lord has given me to serve as a lay elder at PRC.
I have been married to my wife Rebecca since 2006. She is the perfect, God-appointed helpmeet for me. I would be a mess without her! We have three beautiful daughters.
My Hope for Peine Ridge Church
My hope for Peine Ridge Church is that we would grow in our affection for God and that this would deepen our willingness to sacrificially serve one another, our families, and our communities.
