My Story

I was born to Christian parents. From a very early age, I learned Christian truths and was in a church community. I do not remember a time when I wasn’t aware of the basics of the gospel, but it was around the 5th or 6th grade that the details of the gospel began to take hold in my heart and God began to change me. I saw my need for a savior, found God’s grace irresistible, and was baptized.

However, once I left for college and was removed from my Christian community, I stopped going to church and prioritized other involvements. I quickly drifted away, but God, through his wisdom, pulled me back. At the end of the first semester of my freshman year, I received a call from Christian Campus Fellowship. An opening had become available to move into their off-campus house. I immediately accepted and moved in. There, I was surrounded by dozens of Christians who regularly challenged me and held me accountable. My faith continued to grow, and it was through that experience that God taught me the importance of the Church, how he pursues his children, and how he could bring me back to a growing faith.

I attended college at the University of Missouri–Rolla where I earned a degree in Computer Science. I have spent over fifteen years as an iOS developer, building and maintaining apps used by many people. I am married and have two children. In my spare time, I enjoy caring for the bit of acreage we have, doing woodworking projects, and spending time with my family.

My Hope for Peine Ridge Church

My hope for PRC is that we always remain a people united by the Gospel above all else.
