Scripture – Mark 10:17-31
In this passage, Mark shows us a stark contrast to the receptive little children in last week’s passage. We’ll see a young man who is trying to earn his inheritance in the Kingdom of God. He is an ethical, moral man. We would probably call him a good man. He’s coming to Jesus hoping to find out how he can earn salvation, but he’s going to receive bad news from Jesus and he’s going to go away sad.
But there is more than bad news in this passage. There is also the good news that the grace of God makes the impossible possible!
