God desires to give us the freedom from feeling the need to be God. He hasn’t called us to uphold and run this universe. He has called us to humbly trust Him to do so. And this is where true peace and joy are found. Only by embracing our need for Him will we embrace Him, and only by embracing Him will we enjoy our finite lives. So let your load be lighter and your joy sweeter, not by way of apathy or disobedience, but by way of humbly acknowledging and embracing the foundational reality that you are not God, and by rejoicing in the ultimate reality that HE IS!
