When a person has an encounter with the glory, majesty, righteousness, and perfection of God in the face of Jesus Christ, it causes a transformation from spiritual death to spiritual life. It’s like getting a taste of living water that becomes an eternal spring that perpetually bubbles over to satisfy our thirst for something more than this life can give.
In John 4, we read about a Samaritan woman who had just such an encounter with Jesus and her transformation resulted in her going back into her hometown and telling everyone about the man who was the Christ, the Savior of the world. Likewise, we are encouraged, as a result of our transformation to go into the world and proclaim the gospel.
