Scripture – Exodus 20:7
In this message, Pastor Steve helps us to see that “taking the Lord’s name in vain” entails much more than simply being careful about how we use the word “God” in our speech. He shows us that when we see “name” in this commandment we should think “person”, that “taking” should make us think of “bearing”, and that “vain” means “falsely.” Through this sermon we see that the enduring principle underlying the 3rd Commandment is this: God is to be honored in all we say and do.
