We might not like to think about it too often or look at it too closely, but sin is a universally pervasive and central issue in life. We cannot wisely or safely navigate this life without understanding it. Rightly understanding sin is absolutely essential for all that God calls us to be and do. Even our peace, hope, and joy are all tied to rightly understanding sin. Being wonderfully overwhelmed by God’s grace starts with being terribly overwhelmed by our sin.
